Good to know

Common questions.

Who qualifies as a full member?

A person from the North West Region of Cameroon, someone with at least one parent from the region, or someone who can clearly trace family or ancestral roots there.

Can friends, spouses or people with limited time join?

Yes. Supporters of NIB’s mission may be welcomed as associate members, subject to approval. This option is also for people who want to belong but cannot currently commit to full participation, allowing them to remain partially active. Associate members do not have voting rights in the General Assembly.

Are welfare and loan benefits guaranteed?

No. These schemes are proposals and can operate only after members adopt clear rules. Any support would depend on eligibility, contributions, approvals and available funds.

How does NIB make decisions?

The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body. Full members have one vote, while an elected board manages the association between assemblies.
